Nazareth Village
Nazareth Village

During the last two days, the Miracle of Nazareth International Foundation Inc. met at the O’Hare Renaissance Hotel in Chicago. It is very exciting to see how Nazareth Village has grown as a ministry over the last several years. It is staying true to its primary mission, “to create a living presentation of the life, times and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth for all peoples of the world.” Christian tourists and pilgrims come from all over the world to reconnect with their faith through the biblical story. At Nazareth Village they find the teachings of Jesus come to life through the Parable Walk.

At the end of the Parable Walk where they have seen shepherds with their flock, a women weaving yarn, a farmer repairing his tools and a first-century synagogue, they visit the restaurant where they enjoy a first-century menu. They enjoy the type of meal Jesus would have enjoyed. It makes me hungry telling you about the food.

More than 3 million visitors toured the State of Israel last year. We are pleased that more than 60,000 of them visited the re-created first-century Nazareth Village last year.  Christian pilgrims came from USA, Russia and other countries such as France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, The Netherlands, Brazil and Spain.

We are grateful our executive director Maha and her team work hard welcoming these Christian pilgrims, evangelical visitors, Israeli families and school groups. Nazareth Village is the Number 1 tourist destination in Northern Israel. It is also promoted by The Israeli Tourist Board through their offices around the world.

If you have never had the privilege of visiting Nazareth Village on a Holy Land tour, now would be a good time to arrange a visit. I never get tired of visiting the Holy Land and spending time at Nazareth Village. In the photo you see me picking olives with members of the Zook Family last fall. Each year Maha says, “Wilmer, you and TourMagination need to be sure to have a group here to help harvest the olives. 2015 was a great year for our olives. The Zook family certainly enjoyed their day at Nazareth Village.”

Contact TourMagination at office@tourmagination.com to arrange your pilgrimage.
